We have a new modification to the inner cowl door that improves engine cooling, by allowing more air to move through the Oil Cooler, and as an added benefit, lowers temperatures in the forward cockpit by helping to evacuate hot air from the inner cowl area. Two styles are available, Style One is a bumped out design (best cooling & easier to paint) and style 2 is a louvered design with 15 openings in the door. They must be installed in pairs. The modification must be performed at the factory, and can be accomplished by removing the existing door side skin that the current cowl doors attach to, then shipping the panels, along with the current doors to the factory. The aircraft can not be flown with the panels removed and this work must be performed by an A & P. Alternately, the modification can be performed at our facility when the aircraft is in for service. Two are required, painting to match is now included in price.
